Network Operations Security- A Complex Industry, A Simple Choice for Coverage

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Many companies today use a network operating system (NOS) or a network operations center (NOC) to link and support workstations, personal computers, and terminals.  These systems control an enormous amount of valuable private customer information, as well as file and database sharing throughout the network.  A great deal of time and money is spent protecting and securing these systems from wrongful release of information, “pharming” and other network threats, but no system is completely fool-proof.

Network Operations Security Coverage available from Stuckey & Co. offers liability insurance for damages arising from a NOS or NOC security failure.  One network operations mistake or error could present companies with significant financial dangers including damage to software or data, business interruption, and even cyber-extortion.

The ways in which companies link and share information and technology may be complex, but Stuckey & Co. makes protecting them simple with Network Operations Security Coverage.

In The Office- Feb 25th, 2009

intheoffice

February marks some exciting milestones for several people in our office. We are proud to congratulate Diana Rechert, Mary Kawa and Terri Ford for five years of service and Chris Irvin for four years with Stuckey and Company!  It is so great to work for a company where the employees have been together for so many years. Since we spend more time with our “work families” than we do our own families, it’s no surprise that, just as with our own families, we have a real bond. (read more)  We know each others’ personalities and quirks and we show up to work despite all of that (well….we are getting paid, but that’s besides the point). We know we can look forward to Mary’s smile greeting us every morning, Rachel’s funny comebacks, Lindsay’s brownies, Kyle lip-syncing the birthday song, Irv playing computer games on his lunch break, Shelli’s contagious laugh, Chips car troubles, Holly’s desk/shrine to her sweet baby daughter, Kerry’s bowling adventures, I could go on and on about each person here because, over the years, not only have we created a prevalence of normalcy, we have created a well-oiled machine. It’s nice to be able to count on each other to know our jobs inside and out, which only comes with time and experience. Sure we learn new things everyday, not just about our jobs, but about each other, I’m not saying that’s always a good thing, but we know that we’re in this thing together and that means a lot. I know that sounds sappy, but you have to keep in mind, sap may be sugary sweet, but it can also be really messy.

Give Your Professional Clients a Premium Break!

In recent Agent Alerts, we have talked about the growing need for Miscellaneous Professional Liability coverage in our increasingly litigious society.  If you are currently pursuing new Professional clients, or would like to help your current clients lower their premiums without lowering their coverage, you need to contact Stuckey & Company today to learn about an exciting new program.

Stuckey & Company, a recognized leader in specialty insurance programs including Miscellaneous Professional Liability, can offer your clients:

• Premium savings of up to 30%
• Risk-specific minimum premiums
• A+ rated carrier
• Fast turnaround times for quotes/indications
• Ability to hook up electronic submissions
• Will look at books of business
• Admitted paper in most states

Miscellaneous E&O coverage is specifically designed for service professionals ranging from funeral directors to tax preparers and everything in between.  Coverage available from Stuckey & Company includes over 150 classes in sectors including business services, residential services, government/legal services, financial services, laboratories, media, education, and consulting.

As you know, we live in a challenging litigious environment and service professionals are not immune from allegations of negligence, misrepresentation, or inaccurate advice.   Professionals are human and can and do make mistakes; even an incident where a provider simply forgets to do something or fails to properly document their work can result in a lawsuit.

The bottom line…any firm that provides services for a fee has liability exposure, and needs professional liability coverage.

Kudos to Stuckey & Company’s Holly Barker

kudos

As a regular reader of Agent Alert, you know we feature “Kudos” to our staff each week.  This week, major Kudos go to Holly Barker, who received this commendation from Independent Computer Consultant Jim Holstein:

“I wanted to take a moment to tell you all what a pleasure it was to deal with Holly Barker.  During my business insurance renewal, I asked her to see if all my coverage was the minimum of what was needed.  I just had the nagging feeling that I did not really need all the coverage I had been sold.
Holly took quite a bit of time and over many emails back and forth, determined that I had been sold way more insurance coverage than I actually needed.
The correct annual coverage is $ 1,785.00
Without Holly’s help I would have continued paying $ 2,398.00
That is a very impressive 26% SAVINGS of $613.00
That is my value of talking to Holly @ Stuckey
Thanks and Best Regards from an even more dedicated customer,
Jim Holstein
