Mary, in our accounting department, is from Chicago.
She has also frequented Minnesota so she doesn’t whine
as much about the cold, snowy winter that we
native St. Louisans have had to endure this
year. I don’t know
about weather forecasters in your area, but
ours have had their work cut out for them.
My mom always told me,
"If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute." Boy,
is that true around here! For instance, February
has blasted us with freezing temperatures, snow
and ice storms (and an extra day off of work,
thank you very much) and this week our expected
high temperature is near 60! (I’ll bet $1
Kerry shows up in shorts and sandals before March.)
One person I know for sure won’t ever
complain about too much snow is Dwight. He could
climb a building in his vehicle. The H1 Hummer
is a pretty sweet ride any time of year, but
it’s especially
entertaining in the snow. He has even rescued
some of our more "traction-challenged" cars
from the depths of despair. Don’t
worry about Dwight though, after the snow melts
he’ll be up to his wiper blades in mud before you can say, "Go
Cardinals!". (I just had to rub that in.)
