One morning last week, Dwight came around the corner greeted by silly string shot from a can and a rather warbled rendition of Happy Birthday. His entire staff was dressed in black and his office was unrecognizable. The desk, computer, and office supplies were wrapped in aluminum foil. Plastic wrap was wound around his entire office to create a bubble-like container in which black balloons spilled out everywhere. The light switch was taped shut, the computer mouse was taped on the bottom and black crepe paper was strewn about haphazardly. He had to tear through the plastic wrapped doorway just to enter. Nicole even wore a shirt that read: "My boss is old." (She is in her VERY early twenties so I'm certain that she really thinks Dwight is old). I won't tell you exactly how old Dwight is now, but the clue is: it rhymes with shorty. Dwight's wife had a party for him at their house that same weekend. We all wore skull handkerchiefs on our heads; I think it's called a dew rag? There was great food, drink and fun had by all. We got a chance to meet the third Stuckey brother from San Diego, who bravely tossed a fully clothed Dwight into the pool, but I left before I found out if there were any paybacks for that. I was really impressed that Dwight was chipper as ever Monday morning. He even cleaned up his office all by himself. Not bad for an old guy.
