In The Office by Michele Lewis
Our September employee of the month was Christopher (Chris, Chip) Boylan. If you've ever worked with Chris or spoken to him about anything even remotely related to his specialty (our ACE program) you would know right away why he was chosen to park in that prestigious space up front. Chris cares about the quality of his work. He dots the "i's" and crosses those "t's" and if his other team members are "out on assignment" as they call it on the Today show, Chris will do what needs to be done to make sure the quotes, bind orders and renewals get done before he leaves. Sometimes I have to remind him that the Inbox will politely wait for him to come back in the morning. He treats each account like its a million dollar piece of paper that he has to personally sign; yet for as serious as he is about insurance, he is also fun and easy going and... politically correct — most of the time. Unless of course, you trash talk his Cubs or try to debate him on any topic having to do with the current presidency. In fact, I send him political emails just to watch his reaction. It's fun. I know... its mean, but funny. He has a good sense of humor though, if you don't believe me, you should check out the wallpaper on his computer screen. Every office needs a Chip Boylan, you'll have to get your own though; we're not giving him up anytime soon.
