In The Office by Michele Kennedy

Sort of "on accident" we started a Christmas tradition three years ago at Stuckey & Company. You see, Kerry and Dwight are so generous to us employees all year long that we wanted to give them a special gift for the holidays. But let me tell you, that is NOT an easy task. Mary came up with the idea. We all donated, in the name of the Stuckeys, to the local parks program to help pay for playground equipment for disabled children. Kerry and Dwight were so touched with the gesture that they decided the following year to donate as well. Last year, we sponsored a family who had lost everything in a fire just a couple of weeks before Christmas. Shelli learned of the family through a friend and we asked them to give us a list of things their children wanted for Christmas. We got busy gathering everything from housewares, toiletries, toys to clothes and food. The letter we received from them after Christmas was absolutely priceless. Kerry and Dwight also give toys to their children's schools and they buy gifts for all the Stuckey & Company employees' children. Just the other day, Kerry peaked his head in my office and announced how much he loved Christmas! For guys as benevolent as the Stuckey brothers, they don't need a holiday as an excuse to be generous, but to the benefit of others, they sure do take advantage of it.
